Robert dos Remedios, has been in strength and conditioning coach for over 35 years. After completing his competitive football career at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988, he began training athletes full-time.
"Coach Dos" has a master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanics from California State University, Northridge, has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA since 1990, and has been a Master Strength and Conditioning Collegiate Coach (MSCC) as recognized by the CSCCa.
A highly sought-after international speaker and consultant, Coach Dos is knowledgeable on various conditioning topics, such as Olympic Weightlifting applications, sport-speed development, explosive training, and CHAOS Speed Training. He has been a Professor of Kinesiology and Physical Education and Director of Speed, Strength, and Conditioning at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA, since 1999.
In 2006, he received the National Strength and Conditioning Association's prestigious Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year award. This award is given to the top collegiate strength coach in the country (as voted on by his peers).
Coach Dos is a NIKE Master Trainer and serves as Director of Performance for the National Sports Performance Association (NSPA).
Additionally, he contributes to Men's Health regularly. Coach Dos' first book, Men's Health Power Training (Rodale Books), was released in July 2006. His next book, Men's Health Cardio Strength Training, was released in December 2009. Both went on to become worldwide bestsellers.
